Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday! Yesterday was a very out of the ordinary day. Warning: this post is a long one.

Back up to my last post, it was nice to see that I’m not the only one who chooses sleep over exercise on occasion. And I have definitely needed it this past week. I’ve almost hit the 8 hour goal every night.

Yesterday I actually took a sick day from work because my stomach was acting up and I didn’t want to risk anything before this weekend. I have a recurring stomach problem, but usually it lasts 2 days and then goes away. So its better it happened yesterday than Saturday.

Neil was working from home yesterday. We were planning on finishing the house clean-up last night and also to do all the party favors, centerpieces, and hotel gift bags at my mom’s house. Unfortunately, Neil got a call in the early afternoon that his little brother was going to have to get his appendix taken out! The poor kid has literally just recovered from another surgery (he was punched during a basketball game and had to get surgery on his jaw) and now had to do this.

Neil dropped me off at my mom’s house so I could do the wedding chores and he went to the hospital. His brother is OK, but I still feel so bad for him.

The other wrench in our plans is that Neil found out Tuesday night he has to go to Richmond for work this evening. He won’t be back till late.

The good news is that my mom, dad, brother’s girlfriend and I finished all the above mentioned wedding “chores.” I am getting so excited for the party!

The other good news is that I managed to get 20 minutes on the stationary bike at the gym this morning. Better than nothing. Tonight I will be super busy cleaning the house, but I’m hoping to finally do a workout video and write a review for you all.

Tomorrow I am taking the day off. My best friend Lauren is flying in and we are getting manis and pedis with my mom and brother’s girlfriend. I’m hoping after that Lauren and I can spend some time relaxing at the pool before out of town guests arrive and the partying begins.

Now I’m off to make two very detailed to-do lists: one work, one life.
