Sorry for the late post! I was in NYC visiting my cousin all weekend, then went to NJ Sunday night for another cousin’s wedding. We didn’t get back till 3 am Monday morning so I basically have been recovering all day. This is going to be a mostly picture summary of the weekend so I can hit the hay.
I spent the weekend in Brooklyn – I love it here.
Friday night I took the bus up, and then we went to a bar. We actually stayed out until about 2:30 am, which surprised me since I had been up since 5:30 am for my run. Saturday we walked over 5 miles around Brooklyn (yes I wore my Garmin). Stops included:
Gorgeous botanical gardens.
Farmers market, complete with amazing peaches.
Food truck that sold green-monster-like juices (this had OJ, Kale, Apple, Ginger). Please ignore chipped nails.
Flea market selling tons of cool stuff.
Saturday night my cousin’s boyfriend came into town and we went to a concert.
The show was at an art museum that had been converted from an old school. This concert had the best people watching. Ever.
It was a great time with my best friend. She is moving to Milwaukee in the fall and I will really miss having her a bus ride away. But I’m also excited for her to start a new chapter in her life.
Sunday the wedding in NJ was gorgeous, and probably one of the nicest weddings I have been to.
We left before dessert, but needless to say everyone was exhausted. Tomorrow morning hopefully I will not be so sleepy and get my run done first thing in the morning.
LOVE your dress in that photo!! I haven’t been to Brooklyn in ages but it looks so fun! My sister just moved there from Queens so I’m going the last weekend in August and can’t wait!
